Practicing the Gift of Listening

"I have found that in order to help people effectively we must first be community". - Jomara Pineda, Doors of Hope (Puerta de Esperanza) For several years, the focused has been in building relationships with urban grass roots leaders who live and serve the least, last, and lost of our societies. We have found that there is a lot of Grace in walking alongside those who -apparently- nobody love. Learning to Build Community

More so, what if we ask some people to do something for us? All these questions kept us thinking; we had ...

What would be some of the things you need in order to agree with others? Think about that for a moment... Particularly, in what kind of environment? Who creates that environment? What do you bring to the table, to the conversations, to the relationships? How do you build relationships, after all? And... what for? Today we want to share our gratitude to the friends who we talked with, who we met and had coffee, who invited us to walk their communities, who we listened to their challenges in life, who we saw doing good to others... We were blessed deeply by each one of you who took the time to listen to ours (challenges); the ones who got ...
