Trainings for 2017

At CMT we provide incarnational training, inspiration, and organizational structure towards a collective urban transformation. For that reason, we are very excited to start a series of different trainings that are aimed to equip grassroots leaders in Guatemala City. This year we are launching three different training initiatives. The first one is a certificate program in civic leadership and community development. In this training we want to develop leaders with the capacity to build relationships, mobilize their communities, and create sustainable development projects. The Long View

By Jeff & Abbie Nelson We are Jeff and Abbie Nelson and together with our three daughters we had the pleasure of visiting Guatemala City this month at the invitation of CMT to consider and discern whether God is calling us to a life of ministry work there.  It was an exhilarating week for us in many ways. We feel what we can best describe as a crazy proclivity to the place of Guatemala and have spent most of the last two and a half years traveling back and forth to Guatemala, looking for the right place to serve. There were walks, conversations, reflections, prayers, etc.; and graciously, we all practiced the gift of ...

A vision-sharing day

Last Wednesday was a very particular day. It was too beautiful and at the same time deeply afflicted. Graciously, both feelings moved our hearts towards God and his marvelous work in Guatemala City. On one hand, I participated in the weekly prayer walks through the streets of "La Limonada" hosted by our beloved friends of "Vidas Plenas/Lemonade Int'l", who have invited us to "come and see" God's grace there. On the other hand -simultaneously- Joel Aguilar and Silvia López were leading a Cemetery reflection with a group of volunteers from IJM (International Justice Mission). Words can't describe how we felt during those walks while asking God ...
